Logistics Plus Inc. announced the acquisition of LoadDelivered Logistics, a Chicago-based freight brokerage firm. The transaction marks a strategic move for Logistics Plus, a fast-growing supply chain solutions provider with global reach. It also underscores a broader trend in the logistics industry, where consolidation and partnerships are reshaping how companies compete and serve customers.
Although deal volumes across transportation and logistics remained subdued in 2024 and into 2025, acquisitions such as this one show how targeted moves can strengthen networks and expand services without diluting identity or culture. For Logistics Plus and LoadDelivered, the merger combines scale with specialized expertise, creating a stronger platform in the competitive North American freight brokerage market.
The strategic rationale behind the acquisition
The decision to acquire LoadDelivered aligns with Logistics Plus’s growth strategy. The company has built a reputation for providing global logistics and supply chain solutions, with operations in more than 50 countries and annual sales nearing $1 billion. Integrating LoadDelivered’s freight brokerage expertise allows Logistics Plus to expand its North American Division and enhance transportation management solutions.
LoadDelivered, founded in 2008, established itself as a trusted third-party logistics provider with particular strength in food, cold storage, and temperature-sensitive freight. Its industry recognition includes being named a Top 50 Freight Brokerage Firm by Transport Topics and earning honors from Food Logistics for both service and technology. By retaining the LoadDelivered brand while integrating operations, Logistics Plus can leverage these strengths while adding back-office efficiencies and shared technology.
What the deal means for the freight brokerage market
The acquisition arrives at a pivotal moment for the freight brokerage sector. After years of strong activity in contract logistics, analysts expect freight forwarding and brokerage to become the next focus for dealmaking. In 2024, the median transaction value for transportation and logistics was about $18 million, with roughly 92 percent of deals led by strategic buyers. This shows that market participants are prioritizing focused, strategic moves rather than large-scale rollups.
For Logistics Plus, acquiring LoadDelivered is consistent with this trend. It strengthens capabilities in a segment expected to see more consolidation through 2025. As shippers navigate complex supply chains, mid-sized brokers that combine flexible service models with advanced technology are well positioned. The Logistics Plus–LoadDelivered transaction reflects this shift, signaling that companies aiming for growth are pursuing targeted acquisitions rather than broad expansions.
Leadership perspectives and corporate positioning
Leadership from both companies framed the acquisition as a partnership built on shared values and complementary strengths. Yuriy Ostapyak, chief operating officer of Logistics Plus, said LoadDelivered’s reputation for strong customer service and culture aligns with the Logistics Plus ethos. The combined organization will focus on delivering broader coverage and expertise without compromising the identity that made each company successful.
Craig Warnhuis, director of North American operations for Logistics Plus, noted that the acquisition strengthens the company’s commitment to helping customers manage increasingly complex supply chains. He said the integration creates a more robust, scalable platform for transportation solutions, designed to deliver both flexibility and reliability to shippers.
LoadDelivered Logistics built its reputation in a competitive Chicago market, a hub for freight brokerage and logistics services. Its accolades include recognition in Crain’s Fast 50 as one of Chicago’s fastest-growing companies and multiple appearances on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private firms.
Logistics Plus, on the other hand, has steadily expanded into a global provider. With nearly $1 billion in annual sales and a presence in more than 50 countries, it has earned recognition as a Top Freight Brokerage Firm by Transport Topics. Known for its “Passion for Excellence,” the company has become one of the fastest-growing privately held logistics firms in the United States. With this acquisition, Logistics Plus strengthens its North American footprint and adds to its portfolio of transportation services.
